El Nido Climate and Crowds: When is the Best Time to Visit

Get ready to plan your trip to El Nido, where the climate is divided into two seasons: the rainy season from June to November and the dry season from December to May.

Rainy Season

During the rainy season, the weather is unpredictable and there are short but frequent rain showers throughout the day, as well as at night.

However, don’t be discouraged by the rain – by the end of the season, you can enjoy great weather during the day and refreshing rain at night.

Plus, traveling to El Nido during the rainy season has its benefits! Prices for accommodations, flights, and attractions are generally lower, making it a great time to visit if you’re on a budget.

Dry Season

The dry season in El Nido is divided into two periods: the cool season from December to February, with an average temperature of 28C (82F) during the day and 25C (77F) at night, and the hot season from March to May, with an average temperature of 32C (90F) during the day and 26C (79F) at night.

The cool season is the most comfortable time to travel to El Nido, especially in December, January, and February.

But keep in mind, these months are also the peak time for traveling due to holidays such as New Year’s, Christmas, and Chinese New Year.

As a result, there is a high demand for accommodations, flights, and entertainment, and prices tend to skyrocket.

In addition, you’ll find tourists everywhere, making it difficult to find secluded beaches and reservations in good cafes and restaurants are a must.

The Verdict

If you can handle the heat and hot weather doesn’t bother you, then head to El Nido during the hot season from March to May (excluding Easter holidays which are also part of the peak season).

The dry, sunny weather during these months guarantees unforgettable experiences in El Nido.
